A City Cycled: To alert or not to alert →
acitycycled:
Okay people, feedback time. Where do you stand on the issue of alerting another biker that you’re about to pass him/her? When I first started riding regularly about seven months ago, I never did. This is because one time a guy passed me and yelled out “on your left” before doing so and it…

After my 23ish mile trek this weekend, I decided I really want a road bike. But I really don’t know if it will make a great difference in the ride. My brother tells me long rides will be much more enjoyable than the ride from my hybrid/commuter bike. And since he is being lazy getting me…

A City Cycled: Cranksgiving - The Recap! →
acitycycled:
On Saturday I took part in my first Cranksgiving, basically a charity scavenger hunt/race all over Manhattan. Overall the experience was great, but as is always the case with cycling here, it had its ups and downs. Because everyone loves reading about stuff that already happened, below are some…

Insert joke about Batali having to ride a cargo bike here. All kidding aside, a good article from the Journal that essentially says everyone (cyclists, peds, drivers, cops, DOT) needs to do a better job for cycling to be a way of life here. I totally agree.
