So yesterday after seeing that beautiful bike that I posted, and the fact that lovely Liz is borrowing my white lightning, I decided that I do need to start looking into getting a bike for running to the grocery for day to day stuff, as well as something I could use to explore on.  Well there are a few free/fixies that I am looking at.  

This one is standing out as the most probable option at the moment.  I love the woodgrain frame and I like the components.  Its not the best, but plenty capable for what I need to do with it.  This will be the guts of the bike, but I will be doing much customization on it.  I will probably make the brake wires internal, then I will add a Brooks Sadle, and some Plemons toe straps.  I would also like to put on some drop handle bars since that is what I am used to, but I will change that our last.  I may even start worrying about the cranks later on, but that is something I will fix if the system starts clicking and breaking on me.

Lastly, I need lights, fenders since it is wet a lot in Houston, some racks, and bags.  This is the hardest stuff to find for the way I want it to look, but I came across this gem of a website, and boom.  Basically this is exactly the style I am going for, so now it is time to set aside money every paycheck to slowly start making this thing meet my standards.  Just thought I would set this out their for the bikers of the world.
